Mark Holden

Drums

Communication Director at Herreshoff Marine Museum and America’s Cup Hall of Fame

Where do we begin . . .
We're breaking with our tradition of a narrated Bio due to Mark being so anal about having everything he's accomplished listed here. Thus, a short description and the 'meat and potatoes' thereafter.

First of all, Mark (Crash to all his Friends and Fans) is a 3rd Generation Drummer born and raised in Portsmouth RI. He picked up the sticks at the age of two and now seems to have a permanent fixation with beating things in a rapid manner (no jokes please . . .).

Crash has quite a diverse background.
Some his recent Bands include:

OUTNUMBERED: Rock Cover/original band - 4 years - RI

SEDUCER: Original Hard Rock Band - 5 years - Boston

  • Won Boston’s Best Video Award

  • Played 1hr live on WAAF Boston’s Top rock station

TEN FEET SMALL: Rock/Alternative/Original - 1 year - Newport RI

Recording -Projects-Studio:

Johno

Dave Prout / BOO studio

AMISTAD- Snare – Steven Speilberg

John Motoza Dixieland Band

Hobbies- Sailing, Environmentalism, Backpacking – looking for the next great adventure…

Designed and manufactured new prototype composite drum. - Needs funding

Crash is currently the Communication Director at Herreshoff Marine Museum and America’s Cup Hall of Fame. Since he's so good with words, we decided not to give him a mic. We really wouldn't get a word in edgewise (neither would anyone else for that matter).

In all seriousness though . . .
Mark is one hell of a drummer. His reputation is so well deserved that it's very hard to actually relay the Band's delight with aquiring such a talent. Into Oblivion has been garnering a great following based on our ability to play any style of music, and play it well. Yes, we 'Oblivionize' tunes to make them a little more 'dancy' and that's why you guys keep coming to our shows. Crash adds the last element we needed in gathering the best musicians for this project.
